Spider eggs can lay dormant for long periods of time. And since no chemical will penetrate their protective shell, it's most likely some will survive and hatch next spring. For now, removing as many spider webs and egg sacs would be wise. Once the area is cleaned out, it would be a good idea to lay down a treatment of the Drione Dust we have listed on our Spider Products page. Since dust lasts a long time, it's generally only needed once a year and should provide excellent control in the worse of locations like crawl spaces. Come next spring and summer, be sure to treat the foundation of the home to prevent any re-infestations and you should be spider free!
