Baygon Aerosol
Using some Baygon around windows and door frames can do a good job keeping unwanted spiders from entering. Be sure to give these areas a good treatment during the fall when migrating spiders are looking to escape the cooler temperatures.

What about setting up some traps in these areas too?

Traps are always suggested but remember, they're not a solve all. If you've got a lot of spider activity, you're going to have to treat. The key is knowing where.

We've had alot of trouble with brown recluse. Have had someone spraying mainly baseboards and around the house. Recently had a new company come and fog attic. Now they seem to not be on my sticky boards. How often should the attic be fogged to be sure their cycle is broken?

Fogging treatments don't last long so they should be done on a regular basis. Alternatively you could apply some of the Pyganic Dust we mention on this site for long term control. This would drastically reduce the amount of foggings you'll need. Treatments will last 6-12 months with the Pyganic making the attic unusable by most pests. You can see this item here:

You should also get the outside of the home sprayed. If they're in the attic they must have entered through gable vents or soffit vents. Treating the exterior will cut down on the invasion which in the end will cut down on how many you're seeing inside. Use a good lasting residual like the Deltamethrin for this application:
